Sorting and filtering lists

Sort any list by clicking a column header and filter it like in Excel; clear a search box in one click.

Click a column name — ascending (↑), click again — descending (↓), a third time — no sorting.

The filter icon (funnel) next to the header: for text columns a list of values (checkboxes, with counts) and a search; “Select all”, “None”, “Only matches”. Number and date columns have “From / To”.

A filtered column’s icon is highlighted; above the table — “Filter: 12 / 80 rows” and “Clear filters and sorting”.

When a search box has text, hovering it shows “×” on the right — one click clears it.

Sorting is remembered for the browser session; filters reset when you leave the page.

Tables on a narrow screen (laptop)

“Columns” at the top right of a table: untick the columns you don’t need — they are hidden. The choice is remembered per table; “Show all” brings them back.

“Compact view”: smaller rows and font, more rows fit on screen. Once switched on it applies to all tables; click again to return to the normal view.

When a table does not fit the screen, the first column (usually the name) stays fixed — you always see which row you are on while scrolling sideways.
