POS (cash register)

Shop sales: barcode search, cash / card / mixed payment, change, receipt, shifts, X and Z reports, returns, IMEI, wholesale prices, 1C. Direct printing on a thermal printer.

The “🧾 POS” section is a point of sale for shops. Items sold are taken from the register’s warehouse; with 1C connected, sales are sent to 1C. Available on the Business and Enterprise plans (the register sells from stock, which is part of these plans).

VAT is set on each product card (Products → product → “VAT”: 18% / 0% / VAT exempt). The sale price is entered INCLUDING VAT; the receipt shows “incl. VAT” per rate and “VAT-free sales” for exempt goods; if a receipt has no VAT goods — “VAT: 0.00”. The X / Z report also shows the VAT total.

First time

Admin: Settings → “🧾 Cash registers (POS)” → “+ New register”: name, warehouse, fiscal mode, receipt header and footer, “Receipt width (thermal printer)” — “80 mm (standard)” or “58 mm (small)”, matching the printer’s paper roll. If “Show the company logo on the receipt” is on (default — yes), the logo uploaded in Settings → “🖼 Company logo” is printed in black and white at the top of the receipt.

Permission “POS”: view (sales and reports), create (sell and shifts), edit (returns). Sellers can sell by default.

Cashier: “🧾 POS” → “Open shift” — enter the opening cash.

A register sells only from its own warehouse: “Warehouse: …” is shown at the top of the screen. A product with no stock in that warehouse is not added to the cart — a warning appears immediately. In Settings → Cash registers a register linked to an empty warehouse is marked in red.

Selling

Three ways to find a product: scan the barcode; type a name, code or IMEI; or pick it in the “Products” panel under the search — “All products” (group buttons on top: “Teas”, “Drinks”…), “By groups” (first the group, then its products) or “Hide”.

As soon as a full barcode is read, the item is added — no need to press “Find”. The item’s quantity box is selected automatically: type 2, 11 or 22 right away. Scanning the same barcode again adds 1 (even if the scanner types into the quantity box, the number is not spoiled).

Change the discount, choose “Wholesale” or a customer if needed. To empty the whole cart — “Clear cart”.

“Payment”: “All cash”, “All card”, or type a card amount — the cash part becomes the remaining amount automatically.

“Complete sale”: if there is a cash part, the “Cash received from customer” window opens with the amount preselected; if the customer gave more (e.g. 20 instead of 15), type 20 — the change is shown in large digits. Enter completes the sale and prints the receipt. If everything is paid by card, this window does not appear.

Shift: “X report” — current totals without closing; “Close shift (Z)” — enter counted cash, the difference from expected cash is in the report, Z numbers are sequential.

Return: open the receipt → “Return” → quantity (serial number for IMEI items) → confirm. The item goes back to stock and a return receipt is printed. If the cashier has no “POS — edit” right, a manager comes and enters their own email and password on the cashier’s screen — the return goes through with their approval (“approved by: …” on the receipt and in the log). A wrong password counts as a failed login on the manager’s account.

Fiscal receipts: retail sales in Azerbaijan require an online cash register (NKA). For now “manual mode” — the cashier enters the NKA receipt number at payment or later in the receipt window. The CRM receipt is printed as “not a fiscal receipt”. Direct device integration is the next stage.

Wholesale minimums are checked in the POS too.

1C: POS receipts go as sales documents, returns (with and without receipt) as “return from customer” documents; optionally the receipt payment too (cash — cash receipt order, card — card operation). Each is chosen separately in Settings → 1C. For receipts without a customer, the “retail customer” key must be set.

Where the documents are: receipts, shifts, returns

“🧾 POS” → “Receipts” tab: all sale and return receipts — search by date, register, type and number / customer / fiscal number, with totals. Open a receipt: lines, payment, fiscal number, reprint.

“Shifts” tab: every shift, Z number, net sales and cash difference; X / Z reports can be reprinted.

Return: open the receipt (from Receipts or “Receipts in this shift”) → “Return” → quantity (numbers for IMEI items), reason, card part → “Confirm return”. Stock comes back, a return receipt is printed, the receipt becomes partly / fully returned. A shift must be open and “POS — edit” permission is needed.

In stock: Stock → Movements shows “Kassa satışı Ç-…” and POS return entries. IMEI items: Stock → number tab with the receipt number.

POS receipts are never deleted or edited — they are financial documents (tax rule). To correct a wrong sale, make a return and ring up the correct receipt. Only the fiscal number can be added later.

Direct printing on a thermal printer

Settings → “🧾 Cash registers (POS)” → edit the register → “Receipt width (thermal printer)”: choose “80 mm (standard)” or “58 mm (small)” to match your printer’s roll and click “Save”.

On the POS computer make the thermal printer the Windows default printer: Windows Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners → the printer → “Set as default” (turn off “Let Windows manage my default printer”). In the printer’s printing preferences choose the paper size that matches the roll width (80 or 58 mm).

Print one receipt the normal way (POS → receipt → “Print receipt”): in the print dialog choose the thermal printer, set “Margins” to “None”, turn off “Headers and footers”, then “Print”. The browser remembers these settings.

Create a desktop shortcut (right-click → New → Shortcut) with this target: "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --kiosk-printing --app=https://<company>.crm.sbt.az/pos — replace <company> with the name in your company address. Name the shortcut, e.g. “POS”.

Microsoft Edge works the same way — only the path differs: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --kiosk-printing --app=https://<company>.crm.sbt.az/pos. If Chrome or Edge is installed elsewhere, copy the correct path from an existing shortcut’s “Properties”.

Close all Chrome (Edge) windows before starting the shortcut: --kiosk-printing only applies to a freshly started browser — if the browser is already running, the shortcut just opens a new window and the print dialog still appears.

Open the POS with the shortcut and sign in: when you complete a sale (or click “Print receipt”), the receipt prints immediately on the thermal printer, without a preview.

If the print dialog still opens, the browser was already running before the shortcut: close all its windows (if needed also the chrome.exe / msedge.exe processes in Task Manager) and open the POS again with the shortcut. If the receipt is cut off or too wide, check the register’s “Receipt width (thermal printer)” and the printer’s paper size.

Assigning a register to cashiers

Settings → “🧾 Registers (POS)” → edit the register (or “+ New register”) → in “Cashiers (who works at this register)” tick the employees who will work at it → “Save”. Their names appear in the “Cashiers” column.

When a cashier signs in with their own email and password, “🧾 POS” shows only the registers assigned to them (and registers assigned to nobody); with a single register the selector is hidden. They cannot open a shift, sell or refund on someone else’s register.

If nobody is selected, anyone with POS access can use the register. Managers (“POS — edit” right) and admins see all registers.

A cashier sees only the sections their role allows: create a separate role (e.g. “Cashier”) in Settings → Permissions with only “POS” (view, add) and any other rights needed, then move the employee to that role in Settings → Users.

Touchscreen POS

“Touch” button on the POS page: buttons get bigger and products are shown as large tiles (also by groups) — tap to add to the cart.

Tapping a quantity opens an on-screen keypad; at payment cash / card amounts use the keypad too, and quick-cash buttons (5, 10, 20, 50, 100 ₼) calculate the change.

“⛶” — full screen: the menu and top bar are hidden, the POS fills the screen. The mode is remembered on the device.

A barcode scanner works in touch mode too (search box).

Returning an older receipt (e.g. the customer comes back after 10 days): POS → “Receipts” tab → find the receipt → “Return”. It works even if that sale’s shift is closed — the return goes into today’s open shift and stock goes back to the current register’s warehouse. The period is in Settings → Cash registers → “Return period” (default 14 days; 0 — no limit); after it only an admin can process the return.

Return without receipt (receipt not found)

POS → “Return without receipt” at the top.

Pick the item from the list (enter the serial for IMEI items) and the quantity; the price is the retail price, change it if needed. “+ Add item” — several items.

Enter the reason (required); optionally choose the customer and the part refunded by card.

Without the right — the manager’s email and password. “Confirm return”: the item goes back to stock, a “RETURN (WITHOUT RECEIPT)” receipt is printed, it is included in the X / Z report and sent to 1C if connected.

An admin can turn this off in Settings → Registers → “Return without receipt … is allowed” — then the button is hidden.
