Cost of goods and profit (P&L)
Enter the product purchase price — the system calculates the average cost, records the cost with every sale and shows revenue, cost of goods and gross profit.
Profit = Sales revenue − Cost of goods sold. Revenue: delivered orders (on the delivery day), POS sales (returns deducted) and invoices not linked to an order — all excluding VAT. Cost of goods: the average purchase price of the product at the moment of sale. Service lines have zero cost.
Entering the purchase price
Stock → Product → product card → “Purchase price (cost, excl. VAT)”. The card shows the margin and warns if the sale price is below the purchase price.
When goods arrive: Stock → “Stock operation” → “receipt” → “Purchase price (per unit)”. The system recalculates the weighted average cost: (stock × old cost + incoming × new price) ÷ (stock + incoming).
With Excel: the product export also has a “Alış qiyməti” (Purchase price) column; fill it in and import it back.
Viewing the report
Finance → “📈 Profit (P&L)”, Reports → “💰 Profit” or Analytics → “Profit and margin”.
Cards: sales revenue, cost of goods, gross profit, margin (compared with the previous period of the same length).
Charts: revenue / cost / profit for the last 12 months, revenue sources (orders, POS, services, invoices), the most profitable products.
Details: by product, customer, seller and “Low margin” (below 10%). “Export to Excel” puts all tables in one file.
Stock → Stock tab has the “Stock value at cost (purchase price)” card. The stock count report can also be printed at purchase price.
Sales of products without a purchase price are counted without cost — the report shows a warning and profit may be overstated. If you enter the purchase price later, it is also used as an estimate for earlier sales without cost.
