Payroll and bonuses
Base salary and sales bonuses for employees: any number of bonus schemes, monthly payroll, taxes and deductions, approval and Excel. Each employee sees their own payslip and this month’s bonus forecast.
The “💵 Payroll” section calculates base salaries and sales bonuses in one place. Bonuses use the same sales, returns and profit figures as the P&L report. Available on Standard, Business and Enterprise; the sheets are visible to the admin, chief accountant and accountant (adjustable in Settings → Permissions).
1. Create a bonus scheme
On the “Bonus schemes” tab click “New scheme” and enter a name (e.g. “Sales managers”).
For each rule choose: bonus or deduction; calculation (percent, tiered percent, when the target is met, per unit, fixed amount); based on (sales, sales before returns, returns, profit, payments received, deals won, new customers); whose (own customers, own sales, team, whole company).
Examples: “3% of own customers’ sales”, “Target 20,000 AZN → 300 AZN”, “5% of returns deducted”, “2% of profit”.
In the “Test” box pick an employee and month and click “Calculate” to see the result without saving.
2. Enter salaries
On “Employees & salaries” set each employee’s base salary and bonus scheme and click “Save”.
Employees with “Include in payroll” turned off are not added to the monthly sheet.
On “Taxes & deductions” enter the percentages withheld from gross pay (income tax, social insurance, etc.) after confirming them with your accountant. The system does not set rates by itself.
3. Monthly payroll
On “Monthly payroll” choose the month and click “Calculate”.
For each employee: salary (by days worked) + bonus + additions − taxes and deductions − advance/fines = net pay. Click the bonus amount to see the breakdown by rule.
Use ✏️ on a line to enter days worked, additions (awards), advances and fines. If new sales came in, click “Recalculate” — your manual entries are kept.
Click “Approve”: the sheet is locked and employees see their payslips. After paying, click “Paid”. To make changes, use “Back to draft”.
The “Excel” button downloads the sheet and the bonus breakdown.
Example: one month of a sales manager
Scheme: 3% of own customers’ sales; 1% of payments received; target 2,000 AZN — 100 AZN + 2% of the excess; 10% of returns deducted; 5 AZN per new customer.
During the month own customers bought 2,504 AZN (net of returns), 2,029 AZN was paid, 3 new customers came, no returns.
Bonus: 2,504 × 3% = 75.12 + 2,029 × 1% = 20.29 + target (100 + 504 × 2% = 110.08) + 3 × 5 = 15 → total 220.49 AZN.
Base salary 700 AZN (22 / 22 days) + bonus 220.49 = gross 920.49 AZN. Deductions entered by the company (e.g. 3% + 0.5% + 2% = 5.5%) — 50.62 AZN. Advance 100 AZN. Net pay: 920.49 − 50.62 − 100 = 769.87 AZN.
On “My pay” each employee sees their salary, bonus rules, this month’s bonus forecast (before month end) and approved months. Nobody else’s data is shown.
